Dr Jesús Angulo has been appointed Scientific Lead of the Biomolecular Interactions Platform (BIP) at cicCartuja.

Dr Angulo currently is a “Beatriz Galindo” Senior Distinguished Researcher at the University of Seville (Dep. Organic Chemistry), and a Group Leader at the Instituto de Investigaciones Químicas (CSIC-US) at cicCartuja. He has joined the scientific platform as Scientific Lead in March 2020. Dr Angulo is an internationally renowned expert in NMR spectroscopy applied to the study of molecular interactions, with a particular focus on protein-ligand interactions, and is an international lead in the field of Saturation Transfer Difference NMR spectroscopy applied to the study of medium/weak biomolecular interactions. The appointment of Dr Angulo brings the platform scientific headship gained from a long track-record of research leadership in biomolecular interactions developed along his experience at different international leading institutions in Spain, Germany, and the U.K.
